Katharina, Yaara and Sally are delighted to invite you to our unique Iyengar Yoga, health and detox retreat, incorporating many years’ experience on all our parts.

Health retreats for body and soul including meditation in nature were recorded as far back as the ancient greeks. Even dreams were seen as healing powers during this time, and the aim was for the patient to receive the insights to heal themselves. Physicians were excluded from the individual mystery of recovery!

About us

 

Dr Katharina Deutsch, UK trained GP:

“After about 10 years in the allopathic medical world, I opened my own practice for Integrative Medicine in 2005 having trained in naturopathy and clinical psycho-neuro-immunology in the Netherlands. I was convinced there was better, more holistic way to health.

In my practice I incorporate lifestyle medicine, paying attention to the impact of foods, nutritional deficiencies, stress, toxins, electromagnetic radiation, genetics and the microbiome. I speak regularly at conferences and lectures.

Yoga and meditation have been in my life now for more than 28 years as well as fasts, detox methods, and silence retreats.”

Yaara has worked in education for many years, teaching at universities and schools before taking the long road to qualifying as an Iyengar Yoga teacher. She completed her Level 1 training in August of 2023, and is now working towards a Level 2 qualification.

 

Sally Sutton, caterer

Over the years Sally has taken great delight in cooking healthy, locally sourced, food for various retreats. She is a yoga enthusiast and outdoor swimmer.
